The divine law of multiplication starts with the division. Sometimes God breaks our hearts to multiply us. When God likes to take you to serve the masses he must multiply you. But to multiply you He must first break you in to pieces.
This is what Jesus did to feed a hungry crowd of about 5,000 people by using just five loafs of bread. Armed with infinite power God could have multiplied the loaves even without breaking them. Nonetheless, that is not how heaven works.
In the last supper, Jesus took the loaf of bread and broke it and blessed it before serving it. In doing this Jesus demonstrated to them (and to us) that the eminent service is born out of brokenness. That is why as He served Jesus said, “Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you…”
God sent Jesus to us as a gift. However, He could not serve Him to us without being broken by persecution, torture and crucifixion. As Isaiah prophesied hundreds of years prior through the cracks of his crushed heart and body gushed out the best of divine gifts for humanity- love, encouragement, healing, freedom, and prosperity.
Love and servitude are the prerequisites for complete living. Nonetheless, resilience (the power to endure heart-breaking experiences) is the prerequisite for true love and servitude! “…He was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.” (Is. 53:5)
Do you feel as if your life is in pieces? Brace yourself for greatness, as God is in the process of multiplying your life.
