Simply Irreplaceable

jadeite1dx9I wonder how many have heard of jadeite before. It is one of the most prized gemstones ever known to man. It sells at $3m per carat on a contemporary jewellery market. Just to put in to perspective a gram of pure gold (24 carats) is priced at just $24.

The irony is the case that even though it is that precious jadeite does not enjoy her splendour because it doesn’t know how gorgeous it is. Value, like beauty, lies in the eyes of the beholder; it is not determined by the thing itself but by the entity that evaluates its worth, importance or usefulness. That is why two people might evaluate one same thing but come out with very different valuations.

You are God’s precious creation. He values you highly because He uniquely created you for a unique purpose. People might not value or appreciate you as such, but it doesn’t really matter. God has created and kept you that way because He must have known that His plan can never be perfected without you. You are one of a kind; you are irreplaceable!

Your failure to acknowledge your true value does not diminish your value. Nonetheless, it certainly does make a difference in how you feel about yourself and how much you treasure your life in general. Research proves that those that feel valuable and important have a tendency to look after themselves and consequently live a fulfilled life. To the contrary, those that see their life to be worthless feel miserable and end up abusing their lives.

“You can be the most beautiful person in the world and everybody sees light and rainbows when they look at you, but if you yourself don’t know it, all of that doesn’t even matter. Every second that you spend on doubting your worth, every moment that you use to criticize yourself; is a second of your life wasted, is a moment of your life thrown away…” said C. JoyBell.

If you don’t know how you are worth just imagine what price Jesus paid to buy you back. First he gave up all of his heavenly privileges and took the humble position of a human slave. He then turned down the offer from Satan of gaining the riches of the whole kingdom before sacrificing his life by dying a criminal’s death on a cross. So don’t fall victim of other’s opinion of you because, as Apostle Paul says, you were bought with a price. God does not permit unnecessary things to exist in His world. As intelligent as God is He cannot include any useless crap in His majestic plan. Regardless of what anybody else thinks you ‘re still here for one reason – you are still needed, valuable, and important.

Today, if you feel worthless for whatever reason remember Jesus’ words;
What’s the price of two or three pet canaries? Some loose change, right? Nonetheless, God never overlooks a single one. And he pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail-even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries.” Luke 12:6-7 (TMB)
