THE GREAT BANQUET

BEKO0117Yesterday I was part of The Great Banquet, a feast for the physically challenged and the needy (we call them the Royals).

First of all congratulations to each one of you who, in one way or the other, made The Banquet a great success. Some of you might not fully understand the weight of what you did. But for some of us what happened yesterday was nothing short of a long awaited miracle.

I say this is a miracle because the event was conceived, organised and executed by young University students with little help from their families and friends. How many times do we see adults, leave alonge young people, think of doing such a noble thing in Africa?

In 2005 as we prayed in England God showed me a vision of young people being a spark of a great spiritual and social-economic revival in Tanzania and Africa. That revival , that would be preceded by love, especially for the needy, was in full display yesterday! You can only imagine how happy I might have been to see this miracle unfold right before my very eyes after almost two decades. I can see light at the end of the turnel!

Just like Gideon of the Bible, these young people are God’s true heroes. You might not think yourselves as such but I can tell you this: yesterday Heaven gave you standing ovation as tribute to your heroic efforts. Because of that you have every right to expect extraordinary turnaround in your lives.

Your generosity has been recorded in Heaven as a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God. And this same God will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Phil. 4:18-19)

The future of our Nation and of our Continent is in your hands. The world is yours for the taking. Go with the strength that you have and resque your people from the opression of the Midianites, It’s me that is sending you… (Judges 9:14)
